Biography
My academic journey began at the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, followed by a Master’s and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. My education provided me with a deep understanding of cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology, which I have applied in various research and professional settings. I further enhanced my skills with a post-graduate degree in Project Management from Unyleya, equipping me with the tools to lead and manage complex projects effectively.
My earlier research at the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro involved studying the role of Galectin-3 in apoptosis resistance signalling, utilizing a range of bioassays andimmunoassays. After I finished my PhD I worked a Pharmaceutical Operations and Innovation Analyst at Bio-Manguinhos (Fiocruz), where I was responsible for producing ELISA kits and implementing quality controls. Followed by a post-doctoral project which was focused on optimizing cell culture conditions for immunobiological production, employing advanced techniques such as qPCR, flow cytometry, and RNA sequencing.
